Upcoming 2017 Civic Si

I'd consider a sedan if available, but not real seriously. A small truck is looking more and more useful by the day, when the day comes to replace my current Civic.

If they do, it won't last long. The Si is not a production-limited vehicle. The Type R, on the other hand, will probably be marked up for a while.

Yes, but they also didn't have nearly the fit and finish of the new ones which is what people prefer these days. Times have certainly changed.

Would I consider one? Not a chance. It looks like a Crosstour and a Veloster reproduced. No thank you.
At the price range the Si will show up at, not to even mention the R, I'd take the new Miata over it all day long. If I'm buying a two door it's not going to have a backseat.

Anything is possible at this point, that said, the 1.5T was engineered/developed primarily for economy reasons. It's already running 16.5lbs of boost through it's twin-scroll. I find it very unlikely they'll force more boost through it. Honda knows they need more than 210hp to match what's in this market & that figure puts this engine way out of it's comfort zone.

It'll be the 2.0T. No reason to push the 1.5T when they have the 2.0T available and can share with the CTR, which is definitely getting the 2.0T.

Under $22k? An Integra GS-R was that much 20 years ago. I think $25k base would be a very good deal. A base GTI w/Performance Pkg starts at $27k.
