I would go with the G35

I have had 2 of them and I will tell you the following

1. You can get a well equiped 06 for less than $30 (carmax has several listed now)

2. Yes the gas mileage is horrible in the city (my 05 gets about 15 around town) but I can usually get 23-25 on the highway.

3. It's a fun car to drive, it doesn't feel as big as it actually is, and they are for the most part very reliable.

 

I just test drove a 6mt 328i last night and I highly recommend taking one for a spin. The brakes, steering, seats (sport package), seriously making it a great driving experience. Not to mention that motor is ultra smooth. And don't snooze on the 328, its actually pretty quick for what it is. Sure it doesn't have 300hp like the g35 but that was 230 of the most accessible and usable hp that I've driven.
