Both. I love my turbo s2k. It's just a wonderful feeling. A car that handles great and then you add real power to it. It's just great to be driving.
Bikes are a totally different experience. I'm in the market for a CBR now as well. More toys the better

I was stuck at this for a long time too but I decided to get a bike rather than boosting the s2 and I'm glad I made this decision but I'm still going to boost the s2k in the future and if you haven't ridden before go take the MFS course and see if it's really for you before you make up your mine and def. don't jump on a 1000 for the first bike..it'll be too much bike for you...=)

Ive ridden and know how to ride bikes, but have never owned one. I am afraid of getting a 600 then wanting to sell it months down the road for more power. Ive ridden my brothers gsxr750 and had no problems, but then again im not a dumbass and ripping it around like a tard so I think I would be fine on an r1.

GSXR750 is the best 600 ever made. it can keep up with liter bikes alot better than a 600 and is easily as fast as a older 1000cc. Remember, the right gear is as important as a bike. helmet, boots, jacket, gloves

Bike for sure lol. This was my dilemma last year. I started out on an 07 600RR and loved it, sold it 2 years later, regretted it. Year later i put myself in the turbo or bike shoes. I love the freedom a bike offers as well as the connection and skill required in handling them. I was really attracted to the 06-07 gen CBR's and wanted to go a bit more. 07 1000RR and love it even more. Had to learn it though, big difference between 600 and 1000.
I'd highly suggest avoiding that R1 for a bit. The social status of a super bike can get to your ego, which leads to plenty of accident/deaths. Insurance is stupid high as well. Bought when i was 23 (now 24) and 1000RR full coverage is 168 a month compared to 600RR age 20-22 full coverage was 60-90 a month.

A 600 will make you feel like it wants to throw you off if you accelerate to fast off the line. A 1000 WILL throw you off, if not, wheelie and crash.
It is all your choice though.

Being an old married guy has its advantages. Insurance on my VFR800 is $70 a year. (I don't carry collision.)

Had a bike for a DD in the 80's; wife had the mid-size car. Kids loved rides to school, stores, sports activities, etc. (I was not aggressive with kid on board). BUT ...
Over the space of my last year using the bike as our 'second car', there were four close calls in traffic because of the actions of others. In two of those instances, I had to pull maneuvers that I knew would end up with the bike and I going down, but the moves kept me clear of other moving vehicles, which was better than staying up and getting hit.
Then I decided that I wanted better odds of being alive and mostly in one piece until the kids were out on their own, so the bike was retired except for a once-in-a-great-while fun ride, then sold in the early 90's.
The S is now my 'four wheel motorcycle'. It's legal to 'ride' without a helmut - a partial compensation for the rest of me not being as freely involved in the ride - and manual shifting an engine that sings nicely well beyond 5K RPM brings back an additional 'bike' type feeling.

Collision coverage on a bike is pretty dumb. I also waived collision.
OP: I'd stay away from the R1 for now.

This was one of the last pics of my bike - it ended up all red shortly after this. But I spent well over 10K on top of the purchase price built numerous custom parts and yet every time I put the top down in the s I forget all about it. Riding with a helmet on and riding with the top down are not comparable. One of my friends whose like a horse jockey size and does alot of drag racing even layed down a 9.6 all motor, just weight loss, hp and setup. I still don't care. If I wanted to I could sell a few things pick up a kraft werks kit and be on my way 600hp but that would spoil the car IMO.

I had a R1 someone hit me I broke my left leg and left arm. My dad had a Suzuki Hayabusa someone hit him his leg got amputated.
