TSX- what you guys think?
Thinking about trading my car for a tsx, winter is coming up, and I'm not sure if I want to take my S to the slopes everytime. I would be too worried about it, i go ( 2-4 times a week), and my board would barely fit also,
but the s2k is damn nice on the off season
Been lookin at some tsx, pretty good prices out there
(looking at a 6 speed manual)

I test drove the new TSX for over an hour. Nice features. Clean design. Engine doesn't feel nearly as powerful or responsive as S2000. Handling is OK.
After an hour, my back hurt really bad because of the seats. Definitely spend some time on the seats before buying the car. I will not be buying a TSX for the seats alone.
The car felt a lot less substantial than the TL. I test drove the 2007 TL (now being replaced) and it felt a lot better and more comfortable.
After stepping off of a car like S2000, you need something on the new car that would compensate... Comfort? Quiteness? Smooth suspension? Luxury? Weight?
TSX just had some new technology and gadgets, and that's it. Nothing in its "car-ness" appealed to me... S2000 on the hand, is a pure "car"...

The TSX is just a more luxurious Accord -- well, it's actually badged as Accord in some countries. So I look at it as an Accord.
My brother had one of those for 2 to 3 years. It's an okay car imo. It's a point-A to point-B type of car.

When I was shopping for a "sport" Sedan with the price range south of $35K, the TSX was one of my top 3 choices.
In the end, I choose the AWD Legacy GT, because I wanted something that can get me up the mountain in the winter time, and I don't have to mess with chains for snow/icy conditions for daily driving either.
Comfort wise, TSX beats the Legacy though. But the Turbo makes up for the lag of luxury for me when I made my final decision.

If I was taking it to the slopes, I'd be looking at something all wheel drive. Perhaps an STi or an R32. Either one would give you more room but you'd still have something fun too.

I agree on the Subaru for a good ski car. After getting stranded at Snowshow in our GTI for 6 hours waiting for the parking lot to be cleared, I got pretty tired of watching Subarus just drive in and out of the lot.
