My last car was a TSX, if I were you, go with that one. It's very comfortable and very dependable. I never had a problem with it. I was averaging 28 MPG mixed city/highway. The only reason I got rid of it is because I live in a condo and only have one parking spot in the garage. I ended up getting the S2000 and wasn't about to leave the TSX outside to get burglarized, so sold it instead. You won't regret buying it at all.

i own a 05 TSX 5AT. love the car. i lowered ours about 1.5 inches, handles a little more stable. we get great MPG, about 23 in town and i have had a best of 39MPG at 80mph on cruise while on the way to oregon.

04's may have the hondata option, but 05+ have been dynoing 5-9whp more. that basically is the hondata difference, except for the lowered vtec and the raised redline. but you can do that with a vfac if you really needed too.
i dont know how the 39mpg happened. no BS, just flat ground or something. it didnt beat the record my 04 civic Ex 5sp set at 41mpg, with mods.
as far as the GLI or leggy option, VW are junk, and the suby is more powerful but for just daily grind the TSX is hard to beat. i am a little biased!
