TSX

IS300 is crappy when it comes to gas milage for what power you get.

5sp tranny is taken from the tacoma

personally for all the hate on here for the tsx, I still think it has a more durable and better interior than the IS300

I'd take a TSX. They're newer style, newer luxury, I like the motor better (sorry, I'ma honda guy so N/A K20> N/A 2JZ ) honda reliability, and more fun to drive.

IS300

RWD, better brakes, smooth engine, great steering response and feel, and the transmission shifts just fine thank you.

Yeah it may not get the same MPG, it will probably cost you about 5$ more a week. Not that big of a deal...

The TSX is a lot of fun and has a fantastic shifter along with a rev-happy engine, but FWD and torque steer didn't do it for me compared to the IS300.

I do prefer the interior and comfort level of the TSX though.

Did you drive an IS300?

The transmission doesn't feel bad at all.

i love the is300, even though the power is a little low for a V6, but if you get manual sport package with the optional lsd, hella fun car right there. plus, the 2JZ-GE goes very nice with a turboner, i say hit that. the tranny is perfectly fine.

I would take IS300 over TSX in heart beat.
But I would take it in automatic trans as my DD.

IS300. heck, you might even be able to get an early model g35 for the same price, if you don't care too much about fuel economy.

I think the hate is rightfully deserved for the newly undesigned TSX. The "old" TSX is still a fine looking automobile. I have driven both and I liked them both. For me they would have to be stick, and the IS would have to have the LSD which is going to be hard to find but I would probably hold out for that. The TSX would still be a good choice though.
