Very expensive and I am a little skeptical about the performance claims but I think it looks ok. I think the wild dual performance claim is to get lots of free publicity.

Kind of looks like it will fold up in a crash. I don't know how you could tell that from looking at it but it gives me that feeling.

950lb/ft. Nice. Too bad it is at 1800 rpm.

That's interesting, but w/ all the stats in that article, I was expecting a sasquatch in the trunk.

I like it. Reminds me of a TVR.

If a duramax can get over 20mpg's pushing a big heavy boxy truck it should do pretty well in a sleek sportscar. Very interesting.

Further, through the use of torque multiplication, the company is claiming that the car has achieved 68.9 miles-per-gallon at a steady 70 mph during a test at the Millbrook Proving Ground.
I'm assuming that this means that the gearing is so tall that the Duramax diesel is effectively idling at 70mph. Since a diesel has plenty of torque, even off-idle, then it can maintain 70mph with very little or no throttle application. If it can accomplish 200+mph with an engine that probably redlines around 3200RPM, then it must have pretty tall gearing.

I had a 1984 Nissan Sentra w/ a diesel engine. On a level road, it could maintain 35mph in 4th gear with no throttle application. If I had done a long-range test, it was probably getting about 60mpg or more (since it usually averaged 40mpg with normal mixed driving).

BTW... anybody look at the interior pic? The dash portion of the center console looks like a ghost's face. That would creep me out.
