Default Track session: ZR1 versus GT3 RS

Fun starts at the 5 minute mark. I was happy with how well my car stood up to a good driver in a new 3.8 GT3 RS. Both cars were stock, except he had an exhaust bypass so that glorious flat six could wail.

Looks like a blast. Great perspective with the camera on the side of your helmet like that.

I love it Quick. Thanks for posting.

The only thing that would make the video better would be to be able to see the HUD also. I'm sure if you could figure out how to do it you would as I'm sure you would love to be able to look back at it as well.

You are having almost too much fun!

great vid!

You have good control of the car on the limits, nice corrections!

The GT3RS sounded good when it wasn't muted by your 6.2L! Hah
He did pretty good too aside from understeering the hell out of the first turn and missing a few apexes.

I've got to make it to a DE! Autocross just isn't the same!

Thanks guys. I'm on the stock PS2 runflats. It's actually a pretty good tire. Michelin is coming out with a new sport cup that will fit the ZR1, so I will try that out next. It's a non runflat too which may make the pretty good ride even better.

The RS was on the stock sport cups, though in less than 3k miles, he's on his second set! He's having fun with the car obviously. He's done a sharkwerks bypass and full harness bar/6-point which I need. My left elbow and left knee were raw at the end of the track day since I bracing off the door. Probably a little more speed to be picked up if I'm not spending some effort to keep from falling out of the crappy stock seat.

I'd like the HUD and other instrumentation on the screen too, just not quite there yet with the technology. I got a GoPro mounted to the helmet and it's easy. May do a traqmate or something like that down the road.
