theres a million cars like that in europe and around the world - makes me wonder why this is so revolutionary for the US?
Remember, most "Americans" claim their butts are too big for anything than a full size Truck/SUV.
We are a very small group where we actually fit in our s2000.

Def like this idea, would be great for carpools too!
The smart car is just pointless, looks hideous, doesn't get that good mpg, not very inexpensive, and well I doubt it'll have the brainless reliability of a japanese car.
Seriously though, if I had a crazy commute, this car can seriously fit the bill, and I think the diesel may have some good grunt if it has the characteristic torque of a diesel.
Not bad looking either.
Hmm, but no auto?
Lol, if you make the noises yourself, you could get a bit of a sampling on how it feels to drive a McClaren F1, lol.

diesel FTW
probably has about 110-115 tq, so it'll b quick enough, tho still no passing power, which i don't think is bad. u drive a motorized Hotwheel - u should know u don't get to be in the left lane

I have the exact same thoughts. I live in a hippy town, unfortunately for the most part, and people park their smart cars in the motorcycle parking. Man that pisses me off. Your car barely gets 30mpg and costs more than a corolla that gets better mileage anyways, get out of here.
