Hope that thing pushes some good power, cuz it sure is hideous.

anyone know why toyota is making this car with subaru? it's not like they don't have a ton of various engines they can produce that can make 200 hp.
I believe Toyota has an interest in Fuji Heavy Industries which in turn is the maker of Subaru automobiles.

Yes, Toyota bought GM's interest in Subaru, and is using Subaru for its engines and awd systems for small cars, like GM did with Saab.

Toyota has failed in delivering fun small cars for the youth market like it wanted to. The average age of Scion buyers is in the 60s, for example.

That is going to be a fun-ass car.

That car looks like Toyota's version of a Hyundai Genesis.
Hopefully this is more Toyota's version of an S13 240SX rather than their version of Hyundai's version of an Infiniti G35!

The Hyundai fails for me because it's kinda big and heavy at 3300-3400 lb.

Hoping against hope for this car to come in well under 3000 lb., hopefully closer to 2600. Toyota's been pretty good at keeping weight in check relative to other manufacturers, so hope isn't necessarily totally unfounded...

[QUOTE]I'd love to see Toyota make a fun car again.

If the Impreza is around 3000lb, this car should be around that as well, maybe a bit lighter without awd and rear doors.

Great vid!! So cool how well then can render these days, that was as good as seeing the real thing. However, they got the engine sound all wrong... that was in I4, no Suby boxer rumble found.
