Yeah, I totally agree with you. Like I mentioned, I was using my idealistic "everyone is going to drive it on the track" standards.

Yeah, I like how you keep it true-to-life with how most people employ their vehicles.

I won't speak for other BMW's, but my M3 covers all the bases and knocks my socks off. If a 414hp V8 revving to 8400rpm through 8 ITB's doesn't do it for you, you might want to check for a pulse. It's left a pack of S2000's far behind in the twisties, too - so the weight isn't a huge drag on its performance.

if there's a market for miatas with any certain volume, there should be a market for a lightweight, 2-seater, balanced coupe.

I'm not going to lie, I am a bit excited for this car.. Just a bit

Honestly, it seems like a good performance buy for the entry level amateur racer who also wants a car with DD duty that is not a Subaru. If it's kept around 2800 lbs and given a 6 spd transmission, then it should be pretty peppy even with the 200 bhp engine. Fun doesn't always have to come from hp numbers and skidpad g's It does look stunning in black though P.S. A little birdie told me Toyota is currently testing these cars (stateside) or soon will be so production may be real (close).
