Take off the Toyota badge and you swear you were looking at a Mazda.

It's also toyota, the car will probably have (as you mentioned) 200ish hp at the most. Let us remember, they arn't exactly big on making fun / fast cars now.
The whole point of the car, reportedly, is to change what they're "big on."

I'm with you. The days of sub 3k lbs cars are more-or-less gone. It's also toyota, the car will probably have (as you mentioned) 200ish hp at the most. Let us remember, they arn't exactly big on making fun / fast cars now.
just read into the press release and what words they use to descibe the car. lastly look at the dimensions like many have pointed out.

that's why i said this car is very close to production minus the interior because the true concept was the FT-HS.

19" wheels are pretty stupid for this car. But oh well...

i will buy it if someone can prove the EJ25 can be swapped easily
i don't know, it just sounds too good to be true, especially coming from toyota. there are less than a handful of *affordable* modern hardtop sports car on the market today that weighs less than 3000lbs.
but if toyota can pull it off...i will be on the show room floor once the initial rush and stealer markups are over.
