The Tesla was brand new and had only been running for 400 miles and it was very sad for the owner, I had lent it from.

What? Really?

I should like SUVs because I know that their bumper will hit likely me in the head and kill me instead of hitting my car's bumper so my car can absorb the impact the way that it's designed to?

Or are you saying that we should all drive SUVs, so we'll be safer in an accident? If that's your logic, then you might as well say that we should all drive M1A1s. Those would demolish an SUV in an accident, while the tank's occupants would emerge unscathed.

What we need is some sort of standard that puts everyone on a level playing field.
