It's not entertaining, but so painful I can't look away. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
Of course I didn't go into this episode with an open mind. I already thought that this was going to be full of fail from the get go. Maybe if I tried to be unbiased going in it would have helped...

HA I wondered if they would copy the coffee table. I'll just wait for the real one to start it's next season. WTF America? Must we copy everything and expect it to be better?

I think we're dismissing this too hastily. It could be a lot worse. The Lambo film on now isn't too bad.

Compared to the original it doesn't come close. But it's the first show and the hosts can get better. Now comparing it to all the other American car shows it blows them out of the water. Maybe if all the haters went back and saw the first British Top Gear and saw how the host worked together to now they won't be so harsh.

LOL
Some comments off the top of my head before I go to sleep...
-Noticed in the preview of the season a direct copy of the challenge from the UK series of filling up the cars with water + driving them around the track...lame
-Videography is terrible. I expect this to get better as the budget is increased. Still inexcusable. I could have made a better video of the Viper chase with my phone.
-Buzz Aldrin interview was literally no longer than 4 minutes. Ridiculous.
-Hosts seem very awkward. Tanner Foust seems the most comfortable. A little too boy-racerish for me, though.
-Seems as though the show is for a less car-inclined audience, i.e. description of the Gallardo Superleggera: "That's a polymer composite cover so that you can see the engine!" Well, no shit. Tell the audience that it's normally a glass cover, but to conserve weight, it's plastic in the Superleggera iterations. This annoyed me.
-Simple drag race seemed too drawn out/inconclusive.
-One last thought: "This is a real Lambo. It isn't a bright color, blahblahblah I'm fat." What?! Lamborghini's are supposed to be completely ostentatious, from the sharp lines to doors to colors. His car was a direct juxtaposition to this idea.

Goodnight.
