I like the fact that Tanner brings some professional driving skill to the challenges - something that the original TG doesn't really have.
I also thought this episode was a bit better from a chemistry perspective; still some incredibly awkward transitions and comments (obviously being read straight off a script) but they seem to be lessening in number.
I'd like to see more meaningful commentary...I'm pretty sure Rutledge said something like "this was the first car to combine european and american engineering" at some point. I was expecting him to elaborate, but nope...
I'd also like to see some stronger opinions out of these guys...say something with some passion.

I thought the third episode was fantastic because it showed that, even only three episodes in they could have a good show that isn't based around $100k+ sports cars.
Would I like some more elaboration? Sure, but they were bustin' each other's chops pretty good, and I lol-ed when that Caddy went through the dirt bike course.
I also heard them knock the Prius, Buicks and a couple of other marques which I like- it tells me that when the times comes they will not balk at calling a mainstream car "crap."

Only Mercedes shall be protected from criticism so far!
Considering it is paying for this show. Try to and it gets canceled in no time.

Okay -- just watched #3 on rerun.
Best episode yet, was actually entertaining and only mildly lame (except the news segment which was completely lame and not news).
Looking forward to next week -- they're doing what we had all hoped and are starting to find their voices.

Great episode this week, I LOL'd when Ferrera broke to Coupe deVille.
[QUOTE=neuronbob,Dec 6 2010, 04:20 PM]Someone on another board I frequent made an excellent point about the challenges--they allow the hosts to learn how to interact with one another in a a non-forced manner that will hopefully carry on to the studio segments.

I didn't watch the entire episode, but from what I did catch, it seemed entertaining. I laughed at a few of their jokes, as well as when Rutledge began vomitting after taking a drink of the moonshine.
I'm going to watch the rest of the episode some other time. Luckily, I recorded it on DVR.
