Nope...probably bolt-on exhaust system and some tuning done by a tuner contracted by Mitsu in the UK.

Here are the variations documented by Wikipedia...In the United Kingdom, many special Evolutions were introduced, which included FQ300, FQ320, FQ340, and FQ400 variants. They each came with 305, 320, 340, and 400 hp (227, 239, 254 and 298 kW), respectively. It is rumored that the 'FQ' stands for '****ing Quick'.[2][3]

The FQ400, sold through Ralliart UK, produces 302.13 kW (405.2 hp), from its 2.0 L 4G63 engine as the result of being specially modified by United Kingdom tuning firms Rampage Tuning, Owen Developments, and Flow Race Engines. At 202.9 hp (151.3 kW) per litre, it has one of the highest specific output per litre of any roadcar engine. With a curb weight of around 3200 lb (1450 kg), it achieves 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and 0-100 mph in around 9 seconds, top speed is 174 mph (280km/h), whilst costing about

I don' t like the new impreza nor the new evo X, there's too much technology in this cars.

If you compare it the evo X with the evo VII then you would see the difference.

The evo X is a little pussy compared to the Evo VII: THAT'S A LION !!!!!!!!!

Personally, EVO IX for the win, but with simple bolt ons and no tune, AMS picked up 90 awhp with the X. It will be quite formidable, just needs the parts.

Fifth gear did a new WRX (non-STI) versus a golf GTI and the golf was faster by a whole second! Is the STI really that much better?

The real turn-off for me about the Subie is the fact that they made it into a hatchback...a big one too with 2 extra doors

Re: the Evo, at present it seems like the best Evo is the IX. Totally refined and better handling thanks to the SAYC. Only time can tell if the X will really be a contender or if it just an experiment to make way for the "REAL" Evo
