We surmise that producers may have picked Stromer because he's a hunk of man meat, but also because he can bring in a big female audience from his time spent on HGTV

Carolla (who will now be referred to as Jezza Jr.) sports a garage full of Lamborghinis, Maseratis, two Ferraris and an Audi S4. Foust makes do with a simple, tricked out BMW M3. Stromer... a Camry Hybrid.

While I agree Stromer is an odd choice given he has no car background, both Stromer and Carolla have a great chemistry together which should help to keep the show flowing a little smoother. (Stromer being a regular guest on Adams radio show)
Carolla = Humor and car knowledge
Foust = Actual driving experience
Stromer = The average consumer
All things considered, it could be worse

i can give you two simple words that would make this show succeed:
Tommy moutha****in Kindall !!!!
ok, so it was more than two words but never the less that is what it takes.
I saw some lame show where they were plugging the new pontiac g8 on Speed and there was a segment where Adam Corolla and TK were out on the track driving a pair of g8's. it was a great dynamic. Adam was funny and TK was the brains of the operation.
i think the main thing that top gear is lacking are hosts that actually understand cars from TK's perspective.
