I agree it looks funky.. but thats JMO. The really do have to step down anything that's not a 911 because they are afraid to mess with the flag ship....I can't imagine that car has anymore soul or is any more fun to drive than an s2k. you guys are lucky that you have a car that can be compared to a boxster for half the price.

i'd rather have a stripped down 911S than an optioned out cayman S.
The arguement is mute b/c I would take a Z06 over either car.
btw, my soulless NSX does come with LSD.

I have seen the Cayman S in person a few times, and it really is a stunning car in the flesh. I wasn't too impressed when I saw the pictures but when I saw it up close it is definitely nice. I would definitely think about getting one. Interior is really nice (better than my 996) and it has loads of trunk space now. I believe the handling is great, better than the Boxster S because it is structurally a bit stiffer. But I do agree with one of the writers/journalist when he described it as 911 Turbo S grip with Boxster power. I think Posche's power plans are a freaking joke. They should have put the 325 hp engine in this car, and grown a pair & put the Carrera S 355 hp in the standard Carrera, and the 381 hp engine in the Carrera S. Now you have a stupid 325 hp engine in the Carrera, 355 hp in the Carrera S, and 381 hp in the club coupe, or as a $17K optional X51 package. Absoultely ridiculous. I'll wait until they discount the Cayman S $5K-$6K so I can get the power upgrades aftermarket (ECU flash, intake, headers & exhaust) and get it up to the 320-325 hp it should be.

"This car is rubbish"
"I'd rather be in a sweaty night club"
"It's as crisp as a frosty morning"
"Brakes are a bit mushy"
it's not that easy to hit reverse...but like everything Jeremy, it's exaggerated.
and he's right about the cost, that's why you want to buy used

At some point did this show, for entertainment's sake turn into flashy production and snarky comments without any real substance or has it always been this way?
