that article is incorrect. japanese officials are NOT tolerate of street racing. they crack down on it harder than they do here in the states.
they only thing they are tolerant of is drifting in remote areas. i have enough friends/car buddies in Japan and have seen enough documentaries to know they don't tolerate 180mph racing. that mag is doing nothing more than spreading false info and heating up the JDM craze.
i can see some ricers reading it right now, "oh shit son, they dont even bust you for racing over there!!!! that's bomb!"
