Wing, just faster isn't what I was getting at. If I wanted just faster there are many other options (a nice used Vette for instance). The point is, the Solstice is now becoming too comparable to the S in other areas, so if the weight ends up being similar and it is a decently built performer after all, why buy an S2000 if it ends up costing more? I don't want to be the Boxster guy I now goof on for spending more for less.
The S is losing it's coolness and uniqueness factor slowly but surely without so much as a fight it seems. Right now, they're aren't any cars like the S that can be had for under $34,000 that perform as well. That could be changing in a year or so.
All I'm really saying is if everyone starts coming out with "me too" cars then why would Honda not try to re-establish the S with noticable improvements. Honda is way too complacent and yet they seem to thrive despite themselves.
