Lingenfelter also has an SC kit for the LS1/LS6. He conservatively rates it at 490 hp/480 torque (crank), slightly higher for the LS6, although in reality you'd probably see about 530 crank on a Z06. Lingenfelter knows how to extract power, so saying "only" 130 hp is not entirely fair. For what it's worth, this yields (in a regular C5) an 11.7@126 1/4 mile. Price is $8400 installed (includes dyno testing and a raised hood to give the SC some room) or $5k if you want to do it yourself. If that's not enough, he'll gladly twin-turbocharge a vette all the way to 725 hp (for $50k). The 650 HP version topped out at 226 MPH when motor trend tested it.

TT setup for the Z06 - starting at about $13.9k

Or you can get the 427 C5R block with 9.5 compression and the TT setup for about $23k

The street setup is good for about 750HP. comes with upgraded clutch and other goodies (headers, exhaust, installation, new computer, dyno test and programming, etc). The TT setup is good for well over 1000HP.

The race setup (c5r tuned by katech) is good for over 1000HP if you want it. It comes with other parts you might need to like, transmission

All systems come with a 3 year warranty...very good alternative to the Lingenfelter system...which costs about 2 times as much.

good thread:

1. There is NO WAY a supercharged S2000 could hang with a Stock Z06 on the straights or even on a road course...sorry (provided you have 2 equally talented drivers...(put my ex wife in the Z06 and put my ex girlfriend in a STOCK s2000 and she will lap her in less than a lap....???)

2. I keep hearing people talk about all sorts of Z06's hitting 11's on the 1/4 mile on stree tires....I have seen dozens run with very good drivers and NONE have been close to that mark. The fastest one I have ever seen was a 12.4 @ 115mph......That does NOT mean that there is not the ocasional freak that can pull it off but I guarantee it won't be 1/10 or even 2/10.... ....It would be thinking that EVERY S2000 can be a 13.6 stock, which we ALL know is NOT the case...there!

3. Supercharged Z06's are very very common....but again, it is ALL in the driver. There are 2 in KC and I have seen them run.. One of them did a 12.8 @ 122mph and the other one a 12.5 @ 123 mph.... ...yeah, that is what I thought.

4. There are some twin turbo kits for the Z06 now that are half decent and affordable ($ 5 - 7,000)...not bad.

5. Z06 are hell of fast....damn I miss my Z06 KILLR Z06 eating 300ZXTT

I think we started with a TURBOED S2000, then went to a SC'ed S2000. The turboed S2000 is a good .3-.6 sec faster in the 1/4mi.

to say a SC'd S2k could beat or even hang with a Stock Z06 is silly. Just dont let the Z06 owners hear u. Hell F-bodies are taking out SC'd S2K's since they trap 105MPH only!!! On the other hand a Turbo S2k could hang a little bit with a Stock Z06 if the Z06 driver sucks. I saw some Z06 drivers getting 12.8 which is really bad as well Viper owners getting 12.6 which is a nightmare, but i wouldnt go around saying that i can beat a viper or Z06 when i have a car that runs 12.5. U have to take the avg. at least. There are some guys that went high 11's with stock Z06, and alot of them are running 12.3 at 114-115 which is faster than the fastest time now for a turbo S2k 12.5-12.6 i guess. By what the way what does the turbocharged S2K trap ?

Any by the way a 400HP S4 will only dream about beating a Z06. Just think about it, the Z05 has 5 more HP and 300-400lbs less. How in hell would the 400HP beats a 02Z06?? It needs more than that to beat a Z06, maybe a 400AWHP would be more logical.
