Thinking of buying a TL...

So I checked one out a few days ago, I didn't even get a chance to drive it cause my dealer was with another customer but I've decided that the TL is not for me. I might just keep my car for now...RWD is always a pain during NJ winters but I love the car for all it has to offer and I've managed for the last few years, so I should be fine.

FWD is just as bad. I went from a Supra to a Mazda 6 and it was a nightmare in poor weather. FWD you get the one wheel wonderspin every time you try to accelerate in snow... at least with rwd you feel it more and it's easier to modulate.
The worst is if you have people in the car. I was driving around 3 people in the rain and the added weight over the rear wheels meant at every stop sign with a slight grade my front tire(s) was spinning.

Can't wait to buy a new TL AWD. It'll be my first AWD family sedan; should be very good in the rain.

The 2nd generation TL's were, but not the 2004-2008 models. I've been on their forums for a few days now and they're not known for anything like that.

It's a solid car. If you're willing to spend a few tho more though, you could find an 04' CPO w/ nav.
Unfortunately, if you're planning to trade the S2000, you might get less than usual, given the winter season we're entering.
Good luck!

yeah, go for the nav for sure, and the 6 speed, it is just a better TL with those only options available. sure 5% of the cars have both, but a greater % have one or the other...the nav is easlier to find and well worth it.
