i've got a supercharged v6 camry. basically same as that solara. check out www.solaraguy.com to see some impressive mods to the car. With the s/c and V6 it gives GREAT TQ down low. I use my camry as a DD and get most of my power around 2k and car never really goes above 3k and allready you'll be passing traffic with ease. 7k is a lot, i've seen them go around 5-6k on the solaraguy forum.

^Thanks for the input Castro. Yeah lately I've been researching that site. It's got some great info and you're right, those cars usually do go for a little cheaper that's why I pretty much told myself that there's no way I would pay full price for that thing.

I was going to buy it for a daily driver. It's between this and a 7th gen 4cyl Accord. I would get the V6 7th gen accord with the 6mt but I've heard awful things about the trannies.
I would get this as a DD, as long as you keep your S.

Bigsley- I'm glad you chimed in here. How was the car around town? A pretty fun car you think? I'm not really looking for something with great handling, just a lot of low end torque to bop around town in and commute to work.
the car was great around town. i would highly recommend the suspension setup i had(i forgot to mention that i also had sway bars f and r). i wasn't racing every day or mountain racing at all. i just used it as a dd and the aftermarket suspension was useful when taking turns aggressively. my wife still misses that car. i'd post pictures if i could find them.

i would also suggest www.solaraguy.com as one member mentioned. that site should give you all the info you need. good luck.

just remember that the 5sp is the same transmission as the MR-2 turbo so any clutch/LSD combo for those cars would work on the solara/camry as well.
