Going to such lengths to negatively describe someone who has honestly (and I believe correctly) expressed an opinion would seem to indicate a need for some sort of therapy. That type of reaction is one reason that it has become increasingly difficult to have any sort of rational discussion in this country when people are on the opposite sides of an issue.
IMHO it might be possible to watch a NASCAR race without becoming either a racist or a redneck or even ignorant. I rather enjoy the NASCAR road race events. I'm not sure that Pearl Harbor has a direct bearing on NASCAR, but I do know people that will not buy either Japanese or German vehicles because of various attrocities during WWII. That doesn't make them ignorant or racist. It just means that they haven't forgotten what happened and are still not happy about it, so they vote with their wallets.

That sure was a stupid comment on the part of whatever his face was. You dont see the Japanese saying "they bombed hiroshima" or any of that sort. Whats the big deal with Toyota entering Nascar anyways? I think its great for them to have some imports racing in a domestic race, gives it a little more interest.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but what I'm saying is:
No one is freaking perfect. No society is perfect. And before you start throwing stones take a look at yourself and your own society. Was it a stupid statement, sure. Is he the only person, regardless of race, creed, or social standing who has ever said or done something stupid.... I doubt it. I agree...getting all crazy bothered over this is sign of your own issues. Deal with those first and leave everyone else alone.
Now group hug.....(mav...stop trying to grab my ass!! )
