Test Drove the new GS430 Yesterday
#33
Having a lexus sc400 before the S2000, the sc400 sure was a reliable and comfy car. I always kept up with maintenance and now the sc400 has 170k and it's still quiet when idling or cruising. The sc400 now belongs to my little bro ( I gave it to him) and the reason why I gave it away was because I wanted something that was more fun to drive and a convertible. The s2000 was the way to go!!

The older camrys and ES300's were prone to distributor failures. Ive fixed a billion of them at my shop. Nothing too major though, I own a Lexus right now and it has 60k miles (2003) and it hasnt had a SINGLE problem.

Got prices from Lexus web-site:
GS300
AWD $45,500
RWD $43,550
GS430
MSRP From $51,775
BMW
530i starts at $45,400
545i starts as $55,800
So the awd GS undercuts the RL by almost $5K, but if you add NAV and Stereo upgrade, it'll be around the same price.
