yup. It's a great car, but I felt disappointed too when I test drove one after having owned the S2000 for awhile. Also same feeling as the RSX Type-S I had owned. RWD>FWD IMHO.

It's FWD and it's down roughly 45hp on an S2000. No doubt it wasn't that impressive.

I was given a ride at Gingerman last year in a 98 itr with only coilovers, track pads and falken azenis tires and I was thoroughly impressed. Granted the driver was an instructor, but the only car to lap us during that session was a modded evo, and yes there were several s2k's on the track. In the right hands the itr really is something special, but probably 99% of the general public has no idea of what it is really capable of.

No doubt the ITR is one of the best FWD handling cars ever. However, I would say that an S2000 has much more potential on the track than an ITR.
Any well driven car can be impressive, but the ITR has quite a bit less potential then the S2000 on a track. One of the most impressive track rides I have had was a spec miata. It's amazing what a properly setup miata with a good driver can do...

i sold my R to a guy i know who worked next to me, so on occasion i would drive it and it was still impressive. but i think that because i have done a lot to the engine.
