Here is my 2 cents. If you can afford 97+ model in EXCELLENT (very important) shape AND you are getting a bit tired of S2000, then go for it. NSX below MY97, IMHO, is not worth trading your S2000 in AND paying more cash. Sure it's possible to retro-fit the HID, 6-speed gear box, but we all know that's extra money out of your pocket.

For a brief moment, I, too, thought about trading my S2000 for a NSX pre-MY97...after a few months of "agony" and an advise from a former owner of a pre-97 NSX owner, I've decided to keep my S2000. The two cars are perfect in their own ways...I must have BOTH...but not enough $$$ .

I agree! The S2000 is on the top of my drool list, but seing as how I have not found the magic half-price Silverstone / black MY2000 S2000 I may have to wait a bit more. I'll get one sooner or later, but the current finances dictate later. Maybe an old cheap miata for a convertible fix or something.

[B]Okay so driving a 11 Year old car is cool?
the NSX is not a collectors item.. im sure you NSX owners will argue that one.
But, why would you step down into a 91 NSX from 01 S2000.

I think the NSX is a fine car to own no matter what year.
