tell me about pre- '98 nsx.
yup, i know... they are not as fast, 5- speed gear box,
getting old...
but, how are they as "cars"?
meaning, how's their quality? really that much worse then '98- '00 models?
am i gonna have hard time or disappointment if i had pre- '98s?
still as much fun, enjoyable, worry- free as s2000s?
i was on a search for nsx for long time, but i don't really know anything about nsx...
so educate me.

I can tell you don't know much about NSX's when you said "pre-98." It's usually pre-97 because 91-96 are 3.0L engines while 97-2003 are 3.2L engines.
It's ironic that you checked over at NSXPrime without doing any extensive research. The FAQ in that forum will overwhelm you with information about the NSX--more than you need to know.
If you are serious about investing in an NSX, you really owe it to yourself to do the research. And for you to be searching for a "long" time, I'm surprised that you don't know much about it already.

Had no intentions of sounding harsh. Maybe I came off a little blunt. But my whole point is that there is no substitute for a little research.

Tan is a great guy.
He was kind enough to invite all of us to join the s2k run in June.
I'd love to go but it's too early to commit.
I'll know as the date gets closer.
Irvine won't know what hit them.

Pre 97 NSXs suck. You might as well drive your S2000. The only thing that makes the Pre97 stand out is the overall appearance, rear engine, and a repair rating of A. Dont forget the insurance HIKE for a full aluminum/Uni body construction
If you want to go for a NSX Seung buy a 97 or later. 3.2 Liter 6speed around mid 40s to high 50s

My friend bought a great condition '91 NSX in 2000. It was quite impressive. Actually, the first mid engined car I had been in in several years. As the passenger, your head is right by the air intake, and so it sounds just awesome. The car is rock solid, it feels very similar to a Porsche 944 in that they both feel like bulletproof tanks. In other words, I always found it hard to believe that the NSX and Civic come from the same manufacturer.
Very cool car. If you can afford one, get one, if you can get the revised model, get that.

Have you DRIVEN a pre-97 NSX?
Not to sound too harsh here, but its a lot easier to call an S2000 torqueless and slow if you haven't driven one. Don't make hasty judgements, certainly not for other people. If you have driven one and still have that opinion, you might want to work on how you phrase your criticisms Issues with styling, power, resale, maintenance cost, reliability or anything else tend to do the poster a lot more good than 'it sucks'.
I hope we can agree to have differing opinions on this, but I also encourage you drive one if you haven't already.
94 NSX, nice car and nice year! It isn't by chance white is it? )
