One you're comparing used to new cars on price, wait four years for the Taurus to depreciate and then compare it to a four year old BMW m5.
Two, no none of them would. A mild tune on a 335i is mid to high 12s. RS4s run 13s. A mildly tuned E55 would, but that's a 80,000 car tuning for it is not cheap.
For $40,000 the only new cars that offer similar straight line performance and practicality with a small boost increase are the EVO and STI. And that's stretching the practicality a great deal.

wow, so many haters. Even though I would never buy that car, it's a very fast time with just a tune... from m'fn FORD!! Give respect where it's due. Hope to see this turbo V6 in lighter cars soon..
