Also, there's a "Racing & Competition" forum here, if you want to have a dialogue with a lot of guys who put to use their knowledge of suspension tuning in practical applications.

Thats perfect... I just started Auto - X last year and I really want to learn more about the mechanics of my car. I jumped the gun and started modifying things, rather than learning about what each individual part does first...

Race Car Vehicle Dynamics is hailed as a great intro for both engineers and enthusiasts. It does a great job of explaining terms to people with little to no background in the subject, in my opinion. It also goes pretty in depth on a few things. A great beginners book, all considered.
