Suspension for '04 Civic
My wife has an '04 Civic LX coupe with the following mods:
'04 K20A2
Civic Si EPS
Exedy Hyper Single
Quaife LSD
DCRH
AEM CAI
Hasport motor mounts
Hondata IMG
Hondata K-Pro
Koyo radiator
Toda front sway bar
Neuspeed rear sway bar
Neuspeed front upper strut tower bar
Hotchkis rear camber kit
Koni Yellows
H&R springs
~200 lbs worth of stereo equipment in the trunk
The current front suspension is shot--something is wrong with the OEM shock housings and the shaft of the Koni Yellows moves around in the OEM housing. Also, the Konis are starting to leak near the top hats. We will be selling the car within the next year or so, so we don't want to spend too much more money on her. We would like to buy a new suspension setup that costs under a grand.
I am looking for some recommendations on a new suspension setup. The car is only used for daily driving, but the car is driven pretty aggressively so a decent setup is a must. I am looking at the following options:
Progress competition coilovers: http://www.truehonda.com/inventory.php?act...ctdetail&id=465
B&G full coilovers: http://www.truehonda.com/inventory.php?act...uctdetail&id=33
H&R coilovers: http://www.kingmotorsports.com/product.asp...6&vehicle=Civic
Buddy Club N+ suspension kit: http://www.kingmotorsports.com/product.asp...9&vehicle=Civic
Megan coilovers - street kit: http://www.meganracing.com/products/produc...id=374&catid=93
Any suggestions?

I would run a Koni shock with H&R springs. I had this setup on my 96 DelSol and loved it.
Edit, just noticed thats what you have. You know the Koni's carry a lifetime warranty.

I could replace the OEM shock housings for relatively cheap, but the other problem of having so much weight in the rear and no ability to adjust the ride height with the Koni's is still an issue. When I initially got this setup I didn't think the rear would sag so much, but it looks like a baby with a heavily soiled diaper!

i myself own a 03 civic and let me just tell you, you have 1 hell of a car. its sad to see such a beauty go. but when you do sell her, PM me, if its after a yr or two and the price is right, i might buy. its worth a broke college students savings for a car like that
as for your original post, if you were to go a coilover route, id suggest getting progressive coilovers. they're a pretty good bang for their buck. personally, id get Tein Basics or SS's. tein basics are under 1 grand but youd also have to buy the upper mounts for them, which bump them A LITTLE over 1 grand. when i say a little it can vary from 100-150. as for a shock/spring combo, for daily driving with slightly aggressive driving, id recommend the toicko shock/strut route and the Tein S-tech 1.5in drop. they toicko's are almost like direct OEM replacements. it makes the ride smooth while being tossable. the only drawback is that they cannot be thrashed like as hard as koni's. and another thing is that they cannot handle a low low drop. anything over 1.5in would kill it. hopefully this had helped and if you need any more suggestions about your suspension, feel free to post or PM me.

well, as a fellow 7thgener and a s2000 lover (not to mention bored at work ) ive provided some links by some reputable users from 7thgencivic.com about your coilovers
Progressive Coilovers

B&G

H&R No input on. Same with Buddy Club. Personally i would stay away from Megan like a plague. Megan products for cheaper cars blow. There are multiple threads about this too.
