I see it on their site but it must be a mis-print. At 18 bar you could get 1,000 HP out of a 1 liter motor! And every seal would blow so fast ...

Even 1.8 bar is a LOT of pressure! 18 is DEFINITELY a misprint.

yeah, that's what I'm thinking, because those single-turbo supras making 1khp only have like 1.8????

but if you look at the stats, they say "18.4" could they have meant 1.84???

but you have to remember this thing runs on a W-16 configuration of 64 valves per cylinder and the bore x stroke were an equal 86.0 x 86.0 mm, so I guess it would need a lot of pressure to make that much power on such a HUGE displacement like that, so it could be correct

This engine is about the same size as a Viper V10, but makes twice the power. It would be strange for it to take almost 20 times the air to make only twice the power, wouldn't it?. Fuel provides the energy, and if you are making double the energy, you are probably burning twice as much fuel. Burning twice as much fuel should only take twice as much air, not 18 or 19 times as much. I think their website is wrong.

I think you are right, the decimal is in the wrong place. 2 bar would be more than enough to make the kind of power they claim.

Wow...64 valves per cylinder? And just when you thought 16-valve engines were special, here is one with 1,152! How many cams does it have? 288?
