Default STI or s2000?

I'm driving a 2000 Corvette right now. It's fast as hell, but I hate it. I used to have an s2000, before that a WRX. I enjoyed the s2000 the most, it responds much better than the corvette, and its transmission is not clunky like the vette. The STI has mad tuning to be done and a lot of power to get without spending loads of money. I know in the s2000 to get any real power at all for a decent price you got to supercharge. The vette will completely blow the doors off of either one stock, but I'm trying to sell it and get an STI or another s2000. What do you all think?

EVO IX's are another 5-7 grand though.

well it depends if you want to be able to carry friends and stuff in the back or not.
Also gas mileage.

I drive a vette now, they all have about the same gas mileage. 4 seats would be nice, but i really don't care.

Why get a car you already had. That being said, why don't you go with a car like the new M Coupe. Saw one today on a BMW dealership's floor in black....it looked damn good. I would say its probably S2000-like and more liveable as an everyday car since its not a convertible, has the torque of a six cyl, but its high-strung like the S.

my main priority is a reliable sports car. Main reason I'm getting rid of the vette is because of the numerous problems they have, and I've already spent 3 grand in less than a year getting problems fixed.

S2000's and STI's have good and great ratings on consumer reports. BMW's and other cars of comparable speed, style, etc. are all rated poorly.

I looked at both the STI and the S2000 (both 06, new cars). If I didn't have the means to have two cars, I would have went with the STI. Both are great cars, but they are also completely different. The S2000 feels more focused and direct than the STI does, but the STI's power is nice and it handles well also.

Since I was keeping my other car, I picked the car that I thought would be the better driver's car, which was the S2000. I have not regretted that decision. (that's not to say that I would have with the STI either, who knows.)

Both are great cars, drive both and then make you decision on what suits you the best.
