The X that Vishnu dynoed was at full function. They were using FF's dyno.

AGP and vivid are also reporting similar gains on the X as well.

They were using a mustang dyno.

No one else has seen similar numbers without other modifications; and as of yet Vishnu is still using a piggy back interceptor.

As they are running 22-23 pounds of boost and bleeding down to around 16 near redline on a motor made by mitsushitty that is unproven it will be interesting to see how long things hold up.

One would hope that they would have finally beefed up some of the driveline components with this newer heavier generation. Alas they did not.

uhh... what are you talking about? Mitsu announced that all the driveline components have been beefed up. The trannys are getrag units. The Supra, STi, and many others run getrag trannys. They're about as unbreakable as you can get for a production car.

The new block was engineered in conjunction with DCX, and Hyundai. I think if three teams of engineers with different experience get together to make what they call their "world" engine, it might be quite good.

My mitsushitty Evo 4G63 holds 23psi of boost daily driven with 110k miles (100 miles everyday and counting), sees 7500rpm daily, doesn't burn oil and starts right up every morning. You can't say the same about any F20C, K20, B16, B18, K24, etc.

The 5 speed in the mitsu IX is pretty damn beefy. There are cars running the stock 5 speed tranny at 800+ HP. The 6 speed has issues with open tracking because of heat. I don't about the diffs and other various parts, but there are a lot of very fast open track and drag evos. I will check and see if they are changing out their diffs, etc.

Sorry, I don't believe anything Vishnu says. Those guys promise big things and deliver shit time and time again. At the last dyno day here with tons of evos a chick brought a vishnu tuned evo IX..made less then a stock IX. I will wait for real shops to deliver numbers.

Well I broke down and went and looked at the Sti on the dealer lot today. I had seen it at the L.A. Auto show in November and really found it to be a pretty cool little car. I know I know, you either love it or hate it. Most seem to hate it.

After today seeing like 6 of them at the dealer and test driving one, my opinion has not changed. Mind you I only drove it around the block, but it felt pretty solid powerful and connected to the road. The 06 Sti I drove felt well, not as solid and the fit and finish was no where near the new 08. Mind you its no where near Hondas standards
