Talking about the STI in the article you cited, Edmunds states:

EVOs (8&9) have always been more nimble than the STI (bug eye-to-fighter plane front end) on a track...

Keep your shirt on Saki. Yes, I did read the article this morning. I never said the STI is a bad car. I was just wondering if you agree with the car always coming in second to the EVO in just about every comparison. I came to the conclusion that the STI isnt bad. The EVO X is just that damn good.

The article also said, " you drive a Mitsubishi Evo and wonder why the Subaru STI's chassis quivers and why its steering isn't sharper. There's less understeer in the Evo and a more pronounced willingness to change direction. Where the STI punches with the substance of a middleweight, the Evo drives like a lithe flyweight."
Wait till it goes up against your 1 and be at awe of its domination there of the BWM.

But again, you are dropping magazine comparisons using Edmunds. Haven

keep your shirts on, ladies.

My god, this forum wouldn't be the same w/o you two whipping your Lexus and BMW wangs out on every thread, regardless of the topic. But hey, that's one reason I keep hanging out here...

I have read most articles about the STi since I was pondering getting one, still am.

However most say it's more dull or trying to be main stream whch is not what exactly I am after.

I don't want an AWD Camry (not saying the STi is a Camry but reviews point to being in that direction).

It's not cheap $40K is a fair bit of money. I know it's probably cheaper real world, but it's as close to a "MUST MOD" car as I can think of.

Mayhapse the EVO X is not a bad car after all.

Will the EVO X will offer a hatch option?

dude, if you're after a hatch, get a Z4M Coupe. For the cost of a modded STi or EVO, you've got an M car.
