in California they require them. I have never driven the S without a front license plate. Doesnt bother me at all. The car looks the same with or with out IMO

I live in California and have had my S plateless for about 8 years now. Never once have I been hassled about it. My car is pretty much stock though.

TX requires them. When i had the S I didn't run one but I do with the STi. I'd rather just not deal with LEO's if I don't have to so I have it mounted, keep everything up to date and run legal tint. I've got shit to do (always extremely busy) and carry a CHL so it's just a hassle I get to skip. The CHL requires extra time to verify which = more time me parked on the side of the road in the event of a stop. No thanks.
