I had been looking at a SV650 for a while, then I saw the redesigned 250. 63MPG! But, I bought a S2000 instead. After working at bike shops for years, I'm paranoid. Cagers are mostly idiots when it comes to driving.

Yep, I've heard of the Ninja 250 selling out in both Austin and the Bay Area, and for good reason. Finally, a real beginner bike that looks HOT!

Heading over to ejo's to check out his bike this weekend. All those dealer fees for a new bike are ridiculous, so a used bike from someone i trust is the way to go for my first bike I think. Btw I just got my helmet and gloves today, man is it hard to type with these things on!

What kind of fuel does the SV650 take? I assume still premium?
87 oct, 52-55 mpg real life mileage.

while i love the thought of a 250cc crotch rocket, the handlebar position is just too aggressive for me so i kept my SV.

You think that's hard, try getting biometrics to work right...

I was actually looking at the honda hawk clip on swap with the (insert cycle name i forgot here) foot pegs for the sv to give it a little more aggressive position (closer to the svs position). Of course that would come sometime next year after I get used to riding first!

WOW! I didn't want a 250 because it was so ugly, but I didn't know about the redesign. Now I will probably buy this over the Sv650 when i see this on the used market.
