Where in that article are you seeing 6 pots? And why would you have the same number of pots on the front and back? The front does all the braking. It's going to need 6 or 8 pots to haul down it's porky butt.
I was only looking at the pictures, you can get a good look at the rears. The caliper is huge and those wheels look 18-19inch at least.
You never know Nissan could suprise us all if it weighs 3300!!! (911 territory)
If it was badged a Kia I'd still buy it.
For XX years the GTR has been selling worldwide as a Nissan. Would it need to be badged an Infiniti to sell here? I don't think so. WIll they sell more if it were an Infiniti? I don't think so. I think Today's consumer is much more educated than consumers 25 years ago. 95% of today's consumer looking in that price range of 70k and looking for a SPORTS CAR.... KNOWS what cars are out there. The skyline has been out **before** what we call 'rice boys' and before they were ever was born.
And we have no idea how much this car will be, there is no offical word yet.
If Nissan re-released the Skyline R34 GT-R today, i'd buy it. Even if they changed the name to "Pinky Weeny peep car".

At $90K, lots of Asians were scooping up the NSX in the past.
It's not an all out sports car...it's a GT. Buyers of a GT aren't looking for performance only or even first. I think the badge will matter. Since this is all speculation, I would speculate a 70k nissan GT sells poorly.
I would love to see some stats on $70k+ cars sold in the US. Who's buying them and what they are buying.

Actually, it's been discussed here ad nauseum, the NSX didn't sell well over it's lifetime. Was that a badge problem...who knows.

but on the flip side the NSX sold strongly in japan where honda and nissan have more cred with high end buyers.
