If it is even close to the Z06 on dry pavement I would seriously consider it. Especially if it is priced at under 70K. I really enjoyed the three Nissans I have owned.
Lets not jump to conclusions here.

In stock form I do not believe this car will be faster than a Z06. With the awd loss and only 450 hp it might not be that apexing in car stature.

Maybe with some aftermarket boost upgrades I can see an overtake, but thats taking into consideration that the Z06 would be stock too. Not sure you guys know but a h/e Z06 can pull 460+ rwhp with a tune.

Yeah i agree about the 911 comment.

I will be very angry if they don't keep these rims. I don't like the rims on the concept, they're fugly.

Looks pretty good to me too. I am sure it will be heavy. Hell a regular 350Z weighs over 3400lbs..... how would they get AWD and a bigger car down to just 3500lbs?

don't think any C6 Z06's will be beaten with it unless it is raining or snowing.

Yeah thats the thing, All I'm really looking for is a awd car with good power/handling and some luxury. The only awd car that comes close (stock) is the RS4 and I bet it won't handle as good as the GTR with Lotus behind the scenes. All thats left is a 911, and compared to that this is a deal.

this is from the article. "*well *under 4 seconds"??? Even with AWD that is going to be a stretch.

All of which should be good for a 0-60 miles-per-hour time of *well* under 4 seconds, and a top speed somewhere on the ambitious end of 180 mph.

Looks great to me - far better than the concepts now that they have a "real" nose on it. The wing is a bit iffy but like a lot of you, I really, really, really like the wheels - they remind me of racing wheels. I don't think they'll get it faster than a Z06 in the dry but this thing would be a killer sports car for areas that get a fair bit of rain and occasional snow.

To be honest I love the front end of the thing- it somehow kept the swoopiness of the G35 and combined it with the bullish appearance of previous GT-R's.

I am also really digging the side profile with the vents, cutlines and different roofline make it stand apart. It is at the rear where I kind of lose it a little. I like the taillights and I like the lower air diffuser, but I'm not a fan of the 911 GT3-like rear wing- for such an angular shape it is a little too curvy. I also think the exhausts are big, almost comically big. I know the car has power to back it up, but jeez those things are HUGE!

There are a lot of expectations for this car- probably because this is the first GT-R to come stateside, it has taken quite a while to develop and it is going to cost a premium for a Nissan in the US market.

The 350Z does not weigh 3400 lbs unless you're talking with driver and fuel. A 350Z Track is listed at about 3200 lbs. Maybe the base Z is heavier, but even still, not by 200 lbs.

Weight aside, Mercedes has never had issues making their 2-ton SL65/600 do insane times. I think Nissan can pull it off, but it will be difficult for the money. The Z06 is great on so many levels.

Is it a 2003 Mustang with a Konisegg roof on it? Oh, I forgot to read the thread title. Skyline, got it.
