^Maybe the feel that it shouldn't look like a G35. People might feel for the extra money and performance they would like it to look more unique. You should of heard all the complaining about the Z06 looking to much like the C6. That makes even less sense as they are the same car. Wikipedia is reporting the GTR is not actually based on the G35 platform, but I can't vouch for it. I will look around a bit more.

Good question. I mean as far as the drivetrain goes and the power plant under the hood then yes.
Now is built off of the same chassis off the R35, I have no idea.
One thing for sure, it will smoke the doors off a G35.

They are both Skylines.. and don't believe everything you read on wikipedia. The new G coupe isn't even out yet that will be basically the base model skyline. The coupe and sedan G's have a lot of differences. The GTR won't share platforms with the sedan but it should with the coupe.
The New G35 Coupe has not been released yet. I do remember seeing the concept car, can anyone post a pic of the new G35 coupe ?

These do not look real to me.
No matter, there are visual cues similar to what everyone else is saying whatlooks like the top of the range GT3 like variant of the GTR.

If the specs are what we have been hearing people are not going to care if it is a Nissan or an Infiniti, they will be buying the performance and the Skyline heritage. Implying that no Nissan could sell or be worth $70k is just plain funny.
