Question "Investment" Car

If you could buy a car; new or used for 50k expecting it hold its value; what would it be? I am not including annual maintenance costs. Would be a cash buy and used as a 2nd car. Also keep in mind this is for me and many of you know my car tastes are little out of the norm.

Alfa 4c. I think it will go up like Elise's did after they stopped bringing them here.

As far as something that won't depreciate much and will hold lots of value but not particularly an investment would be a flat six Boxster/Cayman or perhaps 911 although finding many below $50k for the 911 is not easy.

I'd have to say a 911.

4C has been a consideration. I really like the Spyder more and they are not below that threshold yet. I like the longish warranty and dealer 8 miles from home. Need to drive one, but my hunch is it may be just a little too small & too little utility.

Another consideration for a MB G500. They don't seem to depreciate at all after certain point. My girlfriend likes that car and it provides a ton of utility. I assume they are reliable??

An XJ 3.0 AWD Portfolio is on the list. 2014+ are coming in on lease return for attractive prices. Well under 50K actually.

4C is a royal pita to get in/out of, and definitely small, trunk space is also highly lacking. Not sure I see them as an investment unless Alfa pulls the plug on them due to slow sales.

1. 997.1/2 Carrera S. Drove one and loved it. Would have one if I didn't foresee the need for four doors. Don't think they will depreciate more due to the hydro steering and less GT feel than the current gen.
2. Elise/Exige
3. NSX
4. Lotus Esprit
5. Another E39 M5
6. Another S2000

Apparently the Toyota FJ Cruiser hasn't been depreciating at all, might be a cool car for doing dirty work, camping trips, etc.
