I have owned my 2001 since June of last year and in total have spotted no more than 30 S2000's in that entire time span. They are sure not that common.

I think S2000 sales would be higher if dealers are willing to let go of them at a few hundred over invoice.
Instead of a few k over invoice.

And Honda is willing to send them the cars when they need more.

How common it is depends on where you live. I'm sure if I lived in California, I would see more S2000s, but I've only seen 10 at the most since the car was introduced.

Funny that everyone is talking about how many 350Z's there are going to be, but it will still take several YEARS to match the S2K, four years to match the Boxter/Z4, and Never will get near Vette numbers. Not as rare as the Stook, but not everywhere either.

Actually, at the rate Z's are selling (30k-35k units/year at the current rate), the number of Z's on the road should surpass the number of S2000's by about the 13th or 14th month of sales assuming that Z numbers don't decrease.

There are only 30K for the whole year of '03, the 6K number represents the pre-sales, of which there were around 7K. But either way, Nissan is figuring on a 30K sales mark for prob. 2 years, with a slight decrease as hype, market share and new cars dictate, which is why there is the huge marketing blitz right now, that and they are pushing the Nissan Brand. But if there are less then 60K total Stooks then you are right, it will be there soon enough. But still takes four years of max production/sales to match the Boxter @ 120K cars, and god knows how many BMW Z series cars there are. I think UL likes to monitor my posts as the local Z33 troll to keep me in check, which he is quite good at Hey UL, are you goign to be around for Thanksgiving Week? I have that week off, and I really still want to drop by.
