"Sports Car International" Mag's 10 Best

i cant fathom what they based this list on. cant be prestige, WRX?? lol. cant be on performance, boxster S. baahahahaahha. must be just a bunch of guys drinkin coffee and came up with a random list. i base stuff on performance, so id go with the top gear list. but that has no price tag attached. if you attach price, then it shifts drastically. best bang for lowest dollar, is the s2k. if you step up a bit in price, and a marginal bit in performance, you can get an elise. but for that same price you could get a z06. sooo, see where im going with this. depends on perception, and whos taking notes. what happened to the noble, in that list? see.
anyways, later all. dave

Hey, they can think whatever they want and rank things however they want. That won't change my mind.
I figure that I know what kind of car this is, and thats all that matters.

as far as the money thing goes... Their last issue was for the 90's. I don't have it in front of me but I do remember that...
Number # 1 - Mazda Miata
Number # 2 - Mclaren F1
The editors often give reasons for their choices for more than performance. Also for having a profound effect on the world of sports cars. I remember their list of the 80's had the Porsche 959 barely @ number 1 because some people didn't include it in their lists because it wasn't for sale in America so for the most part journalists (themselves) were the only ones able to drive it really (except for Bill Gates).

Stupid list. That a WRX made it in the Top 10 says enough for me.
Great car, don't get me wrong...but it'd struggle to make the top 20 list of anybody that knows anything...and lets not forget to mention that its not even a sports car to begin with.
I'd much sooner see the NSX in there over the Boxster S or WRX. Where was the E46 M3 CSL? Or the Vette Z06?

Jeepers. Here's a stab at a reasonable Top 10 Sports Cars from 2000 To Present, IMHO. In no particular order.
Carrera GT. Awesome engineering, performance, sound, and style. It's everything I've ever wanted in a car.
Ford GT. Huge performance, with styling that's the absolute best take of an update of a classic form.
Corvette Z06. No other package gives you so much for so little money.
Lotus Elise. The ultimate fun-to-drive car (or so I've heard) finally makes it to the US.
Honda S2000. A blend of performance, praticality, enjoyment, reliability and economy.
Not sure what else to put on there...
