Spoon NSX Type-R
#16
I think it's an awesome idea! I've always wanted one and can't get myself to love the 911 or Z06. Maybe when it comes time to change sports cars I might consider.
Do you know if there are any sub-frame differences between the regular NSX's and the Type R's? The DC2's had more differences than simple bolt in parts and I could definitely tell.

For NSX lovers and admirers it sounds like a deal. If I am not mistaken the NSX-R has a blueprinted engine which is more powerful than the 290 horsepower engine model that we had only been offered here before. Also, the car being about 400 pounds lighter than that same targa version should make it very quick, even before any mods by Spoon -- zero to sixty around 4.4 seconds, if not faster.
Not to take anything away from a Porsche Carrer S or Corvette, but I have always leaned toward Acura when it comes towards reliability and quality of construction.
I would like to see more details though on what model years of cars Spoon will be converting...Will it be all of the 2002 to 2005 model NSX-R cars, or just the lst year of production 2005??
