SONOFAB. . .

SONOFAB. . .
So, I'll post photos once the insurance company has them, but basically, about 4 hours ago my car, my dearly-loved Honda Element, a car I love as much as my S2000 (for entirely different reasons), was hit by another driver. My Element was parked, and the other car hit it (how, we have no idea, I was inside my home), and found me a new parking space over the curb, and into the fence and tree.
It's fair to say it's totaled. . . . I'll be shocked if it ain't.
And now, I need a DD to replace something I didn't want to lose. The Element was a perfect DD. . . and now, prairie shit.
I'm grumpy as f_ck about losing this car. Had I lost the s2000, I could say, "f@#k it, that was the fun car. . . I can find something later." But the Element. . . the Element was glorious.
So, foolishly, I'm open to suggestions. If you make a "good" suggestion, you might get 5/7 out of me. Otherwise, expect grumpy fuggin' commentary. I'm not pleased, but in need (kinda like dating in my 20s. . . ).

User needs required...
-budget
-must have features (mpg, awd, manual, etc. etc. ???)
-optional features (want - not need)
I was cross shopping the first generation element in awd with 5speed (market price was around $6-8k depending on condition and mileage) and decided i want something with warranty and better MPGs. I'm settling on a 2014+ impreza 5-door 2.0i (17" wheels and 5speed options).
