i like the rx-7 if i had the cash to get a nice one and keep it up i would but the reliability and gas millage kinda sucks.. Just like everything though new tech beats out old tech. the rx-7 is getting to old..

@zx-10 i understand what your saying about mildly i wasn't sure what exactly you meant before because to me heavily modded would be built engine race fuel and TT or something of that nature. like a 1k hp mustang or something.. So my view of mild is a little higher than your maybe... its all relative i guess.

the engine is reportedly capable of 400 hp, but there weren't many people anywhere near that number when I was on Sky forums (yes, I was seriously considering a Sky RL at one time)
It's because of the built-in "limp mode" in the computer. If the computer senses any boost higher then 23psi for longer then 3 seconds, it dumps it to protect the motor from overboost. That's the only reason why there aren't many motors over 400hp. Until GM releases the new sensors from their Stage II tune [for both the Cobalt and Solstice], the tuners are stuck at 22psi.

mildly tuned GXP is good for about 260 rwhp and weighs more....modded out, I'm sure they rock, the chassis is pretty solid...stock they are unimpressive
stock they make near 250rwhp

mildly tuned = an air filter

lol

Cool, the Formula D drivers kicked some ass. Even beating the D1GP guys.

that's a heavily modded car with an aftermarket single turbo running 22 psi...you don't just put that together on a Friday night

completely false, the stock car is nowhere near 250 rwhp, do the research on Sky/Solstice forums

I'd say this is pretty typical, if not a bit on the high side
