Well then you obviously don't want an Elise. Certainly doesn't sound like your into the whole track/racing thing. That being said, how about an 04 BMW Z4? Those can be had for 30-35k.

Infiniti G35/7 whatever, Nissan 350Z Roadster, BMW Z4, Porsche Boxster, Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice, Corvette, Cadillac XLR (have they dropped low enough yet?), BMW M3, Audi A4 convertible, CLK500, Jaguar XK8/R - Just some ideas.

how about a lexus SC430? 2 door, hardtop convertible, ultra comfortable (probably better than your 5 series) its a toyota so you know there wont be any real problems.

sc430 = 65k new... don't know how old you'd have to go to get it for 30k

M3 verts, are nice. Id go for a Z4. An RX7 FD might be good, cheap enitial buy, but from what I have been hearing, the cheapest part of the car is buying it. A 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera is about 33-35k. A XKR would be cool... Boxster, possibly a Crossfire, 350Z. You can find a porsche Cayman for 35k I think... Its a hard find, but im sure there is one out there. My dad was thinking of getting one. But got a jeep because of the snow up where I live. A Jeep is fun too! They are cheap and you go anywhere you want. Very fun! Cayman would be funner. Good luck with finding a new car! Post pics up when you get it!

The reason I sold the s2000 today was for a couple reasons. I've gotten a little bit older and my tastes have changed a bit.
How old did you get? 85?!!!!

Trade in your 06 with the teeeeeny engine, roll it with the money earmarked for the summer car and buy a 335 vert. Or an 03 Targa. Or an 05 C2S with optional hardtop....

(Of course I'm manifesting my preferences which probably differ wiiiiidely from yours)

You may find a used 3.0 A4 or S4 vert.
M3 vert also a good choice.
SLKs or used base Boxsters.
02 SC430s are in that price range as well.
