good article and data/observations, but much ado about nothing as far as the two variations hardtop vs. softop are concerned in a real world racing environment. i'm waiting for the chassis article you're going to do. please do post up a link when you complete it, gixxer_drew.

Will do! Yah I think the same rules may apply to you guys for the chassis and it could be of benefit. The basic summary is that when we actually worked out what made the car heavier we were able to leverage it to get the weight back down it was really close in the end.

Zdan, thank you for the correction on bad information. I'm sure your correct I just assumed that those shapes I was studying were formed by falling water but that post makes 100% sense.
