It really could be the spare... But yeah dealerships shouldn't sell cars that are sitting on a spare. Haha

Besides how utterly dumb the above sounds, who in their right mind would pay 7 or 8k for that turd.

Anyway the cars not that bad until you drive an S2000 in comparison, at that point bad is too polite.
When you don't know what you are talking about it's best not to show it.

Car is clean, as I've said... This will be dads project once I'm done with it. The rest of junior year, and then senior year and I find something else.

Elaborate on "off axis"? Last I heard the term was on an audio forum.

The transmission is fine. And it hasn't done any rough downshifts since I put air in the deflating spare. Anyway, we'll test it once I get the car back after school today. So, so far. His theory matches. Hus Cayenne did it also... Not as aggressive. But it did it nonetheless.

You're coming off as a dick by the way.

He may be coming off as a jerk, but you're really going out of your way to invite criticism. Most of what you're saying sounds a little "off." Just saying...

Off in what way?
The fact that it hasn't been giving issues since dad put the wheel on after picking it up from the dealership?

If I didn't want criticism, or comments I would have kept to myself.

People can criticize all they want. They don't have to come off as a jerk about it.

For whatever reason, there are a lot of dick-ish posts in Car Talk. Just read right past those types of comments, as it is a great sub forum otherwise.
