Default The Smoking Tire reviews a 710hp R8

Hope this isn't a repost.

Matt Farah of the Smoking Tire (formerly Garage 419) reviews the Stasis supercharged R8 V10. Pretty neat video, high production values for an internet show. This guy could be on Top Gear USA.

Farah isn't THAT bad...he has more personality than the fat one and he's more of a car guy than the funny one.

Pretty cool video. I'm really impressed that you can get that thing with a 4 year warranty.

I like The Smoking Tire. No offense to Mr. Farah, I think he already has found his venue. Like you said, production values are great, and his commentary is not inane. Unlike some probably vastly overpaid UK personalities. He gets his facts right as a general rule.

Anyone recognize that road? I'm thinking front side of GMR.

I really like Matt Farrah. Along with Chris Harris and Clarkson, I think he's up there with the best presenters.

He's fairly articulate and he's obviously an enthusiast. That said, he perhaps doesn't know cars as well as he thinks (as others pointed out, he didn't know that dampers = shocks). Still, I thought it was a fairly fun, entertaining review. It's certainly better than the boring stuff Motor Trend tends to do.
